Operator - Crawler Cranes

Location: Various locations across the UK

The role:
Due to the continual expansion of our crawler cranes division in the UK, we are now recruiting additional operators who can rig and operate crawler cranes on all configurations.

What we expect:

  • Current CPCS card - crawler cranes
  • Experience working with superlift/main boom
  • Works experience with heavy cranes/crawler cranes


Desirable:

  • Experience with Demag & Liebherr machines
  • Experience with lattice boom cranes

Operator - AL.SK190 Crane

Location: Breda, The Netherlands for the 1st year
Job type: Permanent
Salary: Depending on skills and experience
Proposed start date: January 2011

The role:
ALE has started the fabrication of their second AL.SK190 crane - the world's largest & strongest land based crane. For this new crane, we need multi-skilled operators who can rig and operate the crane. You will spend the first year occupied with assembling and testing the crane on our testing site in Oosterhout, The Netherlands. Everything involved with the testing will be co-ordinated from the ALE R&D department in Breda. After the first year, you will travel around the world to rig and operate the crane on the various projects.

What we expect:

  • Mechanical technical education (MTS or equivalent grade)
  • Organisational skills
  • The ability to motivate people
  • Work experience with cranes
  • Work experience with hydraulic equipment

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with strand jacks
  • Experience with PLC operating systems
  • Experience with various hydraulic equipment like modular trailers, skid shoes and jacking systems
