UK Operations Manager

The role:

  • To co-ordinate and oversee the allocation of equipment to projects including hiring in equipment from third parties if required.
  • To ensure that all transport, travel and accommodation booked is cost efficient.
  • To ensure that when client requirements change at the last moment, ALE is able to meet their requirements without unnecessary disruption.
  • Undertake the direct management of people including monitoring performance and hours and taking appropriate action as and when required.
  • Issue drivers/operators with instructions for their next job.
  • Carry out disciplinary procedures with personnel.
  • To carry out recruitment of drivers and operators for a broad range of roles.
  • To co-ordinate training to ensure that the correct number personnel have the required competencies to carry out the work load.
  • To ensure compliance with both statutory requirements and ALE HSQE policies.
  • Liaise with commercial and engineering departments to ensure all project deliverables are met.
  • To ensure that all operations are carried out to appropriate health & safety/environmental legislation, following approved method statements and risk assessments.

Global Contracts Manager

The role:

A senior position based at our HQ in Hixon, Staffordshire with opportunity to travel overseas for short periods. The role is Contracts Manager to the global commercial and project management teams, advising and supporting personnel on contract and legal issues throughout project tendering, contract execution and close out. The role will include advising on, managing, resolving and close out specific major claims, contractual issues or disputes. It will also be to ensure that effective procedures are in place for evaluating and agreeing contract terms and associated risks by the commercial and project teams.

You will be part of an innovative and ambitious team with the opportunity to develop within an exciting business.

What we expect:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar or relevant role in the construction or industrial contracting industries, ideally with an oil, gas, petrochemical or civil background.

Desirable:

Finance Manager

Location: Breda, The Netherlands

The role:

The Finance Manager is responsible for the total organisation of the financial administration of our Breda (NL) office and its sister companies in accordance with the multiplicity and complexity to laws and legislation as well as the demands which are made to that in an internationally operating organisation. In this challenging function you have a leading roll to the employees (3) of this department, you are member of the local MT and report directly to the Executive Director. You will also have regular contact with the Group CFO.

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the finance department.
  • Implementing and processing of (international) incoming and outgoing fundings.
  • Making regular financial management reports, tax declarations and annual accounts.
  • Giving advice regarding budgeting, liquidity, debtor and creditor management, cost control as well as investments and tax questions.

Site Supervisor

Location: Based in Middlesbrough, UK, but working on worldwide projects

ALE - Offshore Services Division is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead a team on various worldwide projects both on and offshore. Typical projects include load-out, jacking, weighing and strand jack lifting of oil rig modules. The supervisor will be expected to work to a tight schedule, safely and efficiently, utilising the most of available sources.

Heavy Cranes Sales Manager

The role:

ALE are seeking, as a senior position, a Sales Manager for Heavy Cranes contracts in their Projects Division. The role will involve client liaison and negotiations from pre-bid stage through contract award until project completion. It will also involve sales of the ALE Heavy Crane fleet for contract work, including the SK190 and SK350, the world's largest land based cranes. The position will entail the successful candidate being a member of the Global Projects business and will be based in the Middle East region. Frequent travel, both in the Middle East and globally will be a requirement as part of the role. You will be part of an innovative and ambitious team with the opportunity to develop within an exciting business.

Project Engineer

The role:

  • The Project Engineer is responsible for all aspects of Engineering and Project Management for major projects in the Middle East, including all structural, ballasting, sea-fastening and stability analysis for land and marine heavylift transportation and heavylift installation.

  • Provide technical support to project managers, as well as to site supervisors.

 

Desirable:

  • Engineering Graduate.
  • 2-3 years experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Engineering knowledge of heavylift/heavylift transport equipment is an asset but not essential.
  • Proficient in AutoCad, Mathcad, STAAD, Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Driving license.
