Transport and load-out of support frame, Malaysia

ALE has been awarded the transportation, jacking down and load-out of an 1,150te support frame in Johor, Malaysia.

The scope of the project was to shift the load-out support frame (LSF) from its current position, set on up-to 3.2 meter high stools, and then jack it down on to the skids that are 800mm high.

ALE provided all of the steel supports during the jack-up, transport and jacking down using a mix of dragline boards, spreader mats, hi-jack frames and cruciforms.

A total of 56 axle-lines of SPMT were used to transport, jack up and jack down the structures before being replaced by eight 200te jacks when the load became too low for the trailers to continue.

The jacks were also used to align the LSF on top of the skids.
