Launching of Spellener bridge, Germany

ALE installed a 70 metre long road bridge in Wesel, Germany using strand jacks, SPMTs, skidding plates, climbing jacks and a barge.

The installation was completed in one day and began with the bridge being skidded 28 metres using strand jacks, SPMTs and skidding plates. The bridge was then fixed to the barge, raised above its final position and placed on climbing jacks.

Once the barge and skidding plates had been removed, the bridge was jacked down onto its final position.
